Pros
This replaces the hub with the usb to connect with the mobo. That goes to the cpu header for your fans.
Cons
Frankly, i find it pretty ridiculous that i should need to spend more money to make an already expensive product work properly. Extremely disappointed and would love to return this item.
Factory qc should have caught this problem. Corsair's customer support is usually pretty good about replacing them. Caused a short in my case. The gel layering damaged, broke clear across the entire strip from the folding.
The corsair commander pro requires a native usb 2. The headphones are great sound wise but don't fit my giant head and the worst part. Why is there 4 different controller options for rgb lighting? The lighting node core is just your simple rgb hub.
The product is unnecessary if your mobo is new and has 7 on-board fan ports and allows usage of 2 way splitters. There should be a warning sticker saying to not plug in 3 fans to the same header.

I am really happy with the result and shaved over 10c of my gpu hot spot.
Also comes with the temp probes no need to buy separate.
Again, fan speeds still don't seem to line up very well based on the aio came with different fans that can only be purchased with the aio.
Do not buy the sp (static pressure) fans> they will not work with the core xt.
Other than that this is a great product.

Competitiveness
It was easy to install because i already had an icue commander xt already installed with my fans.
After install i went into icue and it was there.
Be aware that custom profile settings only work after boot with icue software loaded.
As of 8/15/22 there are some bugs in the icue software that prevent certain devices from properly being detected.
New review:corsair updated their icue software and now it works just fine.
When i built this computer i also stepped out and bought a corsair h100i platinum.

When i ordered this product originally, it was damaged, you wouldn't notice because it wasn't a physical issue however when i put it into my system, half the sockets did not work/no electrical flow.

I thought maybe it was a fan issue because i had just ordered this product, luckily i had another commander to use as a control to see if it was the fans or the newer commander i ordered, it turned out all the fans worked with mine but the newer one, only half the sockets worked so i determined the product was damaged at that point maybe somewhere internally.

I called amazon support, spoke to someone who was able to send me a replacement and for me to turn in the damaged product at a local fedex for a free return with no charge to me.

Sadly when i went to fedex to have this resolved they informed me that amazon had been lying to its clients lately and there was still a charge/fee for shipping the item back to them although it was not a fault of mine and the vendor sent me a damaged product.

This was a disappointing experience, i payed the fee since i was already there and no further issues with replacement however it still left a sour taste in my mouth that i was misinformed by amazon support so i took off x1 star for that, the new product is working as intended, no issues so far.
