Both are very useful as you always want to create a contrast when taking a picture of an item so it stands out

The white platform requires the least maintenance to use as it doesnt show the dustdebris and fingerprints that it picks up

On the other hand the black platform shows everything it attracts so you have to ensure its spotless come picture time or youre going to have a spotted mess

These are nice but please be aware they glare in camera use so must either be used for that application with a specific lighting or were not great with jewelry

The black is super reflective and the white is somewhat reflective
