While that will work fine and for physical reasons you have to use alcohol to preheat a lantern in the case of this stove theres an even easier solution purchase a pump bottle of hand sanitizer about 90 alcohol

Let it burn for 30 seconds or so a good time in which to pump up the pressure and then crack the valve open

Although the stove is rated at a bit lower output using kerosene it burns over 2 hours on a tank full

Im really wondering if the two generators are necessary after all the maintenance kit only has one replacement generator
