Pros & Cons

Pros

Only thing to modify is the slicker finish on the hickory handle. No evidence of cracks or strange vibration in the handle. My only complaint is the varnish.

Wood is an organic material that needs moisture so it flexes. Perfect for small trees and shrubs.

A lansky puck keeps it sharp enough to cut well. It hasn't dulled after a few strokes.

Cons

Very disappointed in the quality. They need to be recalled. Very disappointed with this. At $45 or over not worth it" "this is the worst product i have ever purchased from amazon. Don't buy it.

The axe looks great and will obliterate anything in its path for about 10 minutes. Split the axe after 5 uses. I am not super happy and i wish that i had just gone with the refund instead.

There is a visible seam where the steel for the blade is not fully welded to the body. I am not a beefy lumberjack and these were not massive logs.
