Actually its quite loose and i could foresee someone grabbing the can by the lid and coffee spilling everywhere

However after using it daily for a couple months the lid doesn’t fit as tightly as it did when new

Upon placing the silicone ring back into the groove i had to manipulate it a bit as to make sure it was properly in the groove so it would seal effectively
