Pros

Caliper itself is definitely a step up from my old harbor freight cheapo model. It's an amazing difference and i wish i would have done it sooner.

Case is even a 8/10. Natural tendency is to place the battery with the lettering visible. Case is decent with a blow mold and a small pad to keep minor bumps from jarring the tool.

These clockwise calipers are more comfortable than any other set we have. Silky smooth movement. Not buttery smooth like a high-dollar professional set, yet still smooth.

Cons

When i close the jaws it almost never goes back to exactly zero, even after i just zeroed it. It seems to count down in increments of 5. When i turned it off and then tried to turn it back on again, nothing happens.

Very displeased with this product. Very unimpressed. Don't waste your money. There's two fatal flaw, one that is killing-me.

Really nice feature with the fractions of in inch

I recently found out that my calipers display doesnt work anymore and which i decided to get in touch with the customer service

Unfortunately the lcd readout was blank so i assumed it was a faulty battery as it had just worked the previous week with the mechanic

Price

The cost was not at all bad for what you get

The dclr0805 is a great caliper at a very reasonable price

Shipping

Vick immediately offered to send a replacement unit and even held off shipping as i was going away before the unit would arrive

Packaging/appearance

Did not like the sticker that must be removed to see the screen

Competitiveness

This last time a professonal diesel mechanic was using it and a couple of days later i needed to use it myself

These seem much better on battery life when idle than much of the competition uses a cr2032 batt rather than an lr44 as many competitors do

Its no mitutoyo but it also just a percentage of the price

Seems very nicely made but im only a handy hubbies
