I have used a tens unit for many many years and all the ones i have ever use are wired to max meaning i would have red and black wires hanging out of my shirt going to my hip hooking into the unit

What a pain to deal with if you pulled on the wires any then you either pull of the pad and get a shock or you pull out the leads and they never work right again
