The benefit of this cooler is how easy it is to carry, perfect for the beach or even a hike. Carrying a larger handheld one is more difficult but this one you can have a good amount of cans and food. This semi-rigid CleverMade Cardiff Cooler/backpack is unique.... and it's unique qualities make it suitable for a variety of purposes.1st & foremost, it is a cooler backpack perfect for assuring you have something cold to drink on a hot day in the park or out in the woods camping or fishing ect.But it can also make for a good hot pack in the winter, as you can keep it in your vehicle for keeping your take out/fast food warm until you get home.This specialty pack is very well made & nicely outfitted with zippered pockets & compartments & has a nice carry handle as well as tie down straps here & there to attach your accessories.The pack is well padded on the shoulder straps & where the pack makes contact with your back....it is comfortable to wear, & carries weight well... the only thing that rubbed me the wrong way....is when you are wearing the pack, the shoulder straps make a bit of incidental contact with my neck.....not much, but enough to make me wish it had softer material on the straps where it rubs..... not a deal killer but it is a bit annoying.In the pics I posted I included a water bottle & a few $ bills to give you a good idea of it's proportions..... as it is somewhat smaller than I expected.The zippers on the pack are of good quality, they open & close with ease..... the pack also sports a little reflective material here & there, for safety, looks & to help you find your stash of goodies in the dark.AND..... it has a bottle opener integrated into a strap :) now that IS clever.I really like this CleverMade cooler pack.... instantly one of my favorites because of it's size, waterproof nature & semi rigid structure ...
