So first of all yes there it was damaged on the other side of the headboard but i wasnt even concerned because you would see it

Plus the frame is solid with wooden boards all the way across from top to bottom so a box spring isnt even necessary

I ditched the skirt that comes with the new bedspread though because the side panels and tufted foot board are so elegant it would be a shame to cover them up
