If you have dhcp with your isp you will need to setup dynamic dns with a provider in order to view the camera over the internet

The camera is very easy to set up if you download the software but as long as you can figure out the ip it is using you can use a web browser to connect to it

It is an older model so it does not have ipv6 capability

There are some known security issues but it you have a closed system then it would not really be a problem
