Pros
The writing is vigorous and lyrical. It lacks pretentious vocabulary but remains lyrical and beautiful. It's a no brainer! This is the kind of story that can make you a better writer, a better story teller.
Circe is the daughter of the sun god helios and an ocean *, *. The author creates a tangible world for the reader and a refresher course on mythology. It truly feels like you are reading from the perspective of a goddess versus a mortal.
Madeline miller weaves her magic like a circe enchantment. The story of circe that miller creates is an engrossing tale.

Circe is the most passive and desperate for a lover female character i've ever read. She spends most of the book both * uncontrollably over heroes and then lambasting them. It reminds me of a bad imitation of edith hamilton mythology.
