Although some mac users have reported success using this adapter with their macbook pro machines while running bootcamp it did not work for my early 2011 model

This is not necessarily the fault of the adapter itselfbut i wanted to let others know of my experience so they would be aware that it wont solve macbook probootcampvga display problems for certain models

Be sure to get the version which includes the usb power adapter as mine did not work unless it was powered by usb

It is unfortunate that the graphics card vendors and apple wont get their act together such that the nominal displayportvga adapter by apple works under bootcamp

Ive always had success with displayporthdmi under bootcamp so now i just go displayportgthdmigtvga which involves two adapters plus a usb power cable but at least i can now drive vga from within bootcamp without having to reboot back to osx
