The tiny machine screws on the mount are very cheap and strip very easily.

This is not a heavy duty tripod.

Once everything is in place, the panning handle head can be rotated clockwise and anticlockwise to tighten and loosen the panning motion.

This next part caused some confusion for me at first.

I found that moving the head up and down eventually caused the bolt to become loose (read: less tight) and therefore was prone to slipping and wandering off target when angled at 45° or more.

To keep the head firmly in place, the bolt must be tightened again.

What i've done is tightened the altitude bolt so tight that the head cannot be moved with large motions.

Came used with screw broken off in adjuster probably from previous purchaser.
