Quality
I am very happy with the packtalk 4.
Sound quality is great but will probably try out the jbl speakers they offer.
Never used the voice recognition but the sound quality was great battery lasted 12 hours.
The sound quality is very good and it has good volume.
Price
For the price, i’m happy with my purchase.
I got this as low as it was in amazon price history.
Packaging/appearance
Voice recognition on this is the same as on the packtalk bold.
Was blown away by the volume and clarity of this unit.
Competitiveness
Quickly and easily installed in an hjc i10 helmet.
Also way cheaper than the packtalk bolds (i’m sure they are worth it) but this was mostly for music for me.
In a hjc fg17 full face (speakers directly over ears, no padding) pandora was hardly audible with everything on full blast.
First, i moved from a cardo packtalk bold.

When using the voice recognition i found that saying hey cardo then wait a half second before the command works best.

Love it when im on the phone regardless of my helmets wind noise whoever im on the phone with can't tell wearing this with the icon airflite is a great combination only downside is with the helmets wind noise when going 50+ but even then the headset performs well

I am not sure how the freecom 1 sounds, but the 4 is just ok.

Installing it was kinda difficult, some of the instructions were unclear and 90% of all the paperwork is in a different language.
