The foam is soft and wont scratch my phone the locking nut allows me to tighten it enough so the phone stays exactly where i want it yet allows me to reposition it and the release button does in fact release the phone id buy this one again

Been using this now a few months and while it still works not long after receiving it the little arm release button stopped expanding the sides to more easily remove the phone
