Highlights
Quality
Very pleased with the product that i received and would definitely buy it again and would recommend it to others
Nevertheless quality is better and it fits perfectly
I can not recommend for or against this product
I wasnt happy with the price i had to pay for this replacement but its the real thing and has been working just fine since i got it
Price
Price is to high for what it is but it is a required accessory
Competitiveness
I was very surprised at the diameter of the hood but it makes sense since the canon 1022mm efs has a 77mm outer lens rim
Overall id recommend this accessory to anyone purchasing one of canons ultrawide zoom lenses
If you are going to use a flash you need a speedlight on the hot shoe or off camera strobes
The two main problems it is rather large making it difficult to fit in to my camera bag and it is expensive compared to 3rd party hoods

Especially when you have your camera around your neck and bump your lens into everything

I suspect that is why some people find that it is visible when looking through the viewfinder at widest angle settings while others do not
