Sorry T3i, but you'd been totally replaced.When the T3i came out over the T2i, most didn't believe the articulated flip-out LCD screen was much of an upgrade. Well, the upgrade from a T3i from a T4i is HUGE. People who say there is no difference between them have no idea what they're talking about and does not actually own or tried both of them.- The shutter noise is a huge difference. It's MUCH quieter and not like the SQUEEKY annoying sound the T3i makes.- Proximity sensor (if you put your eye on the viewfinder, it will automatically turn off the LCD screen) - No matter what others say, this function is NOT available in T3i (Yes, I actually own both)- If you shoot videos, the dedicated movie switch alone is worth it; you just flip it up from the on switch. With the T3i, if you're in camera mode, you had to turn the dial mode switch all the way around just to go to movie mode - it was so cumbersome!- Capacitive Touch screen is no gimmick and is the real thing - it works really great! A lot of us use smartphones and tablets nowadays that it's actually really nice being able to scroll and pinch to zoom just like you would with those devices. It makes it easy and much faster to select focus too, just by touching it, as opposed to using a joystick or directional button to scroll to that position.- Digic 5 processor capable of better image quality, higher ISO, and faster burst rate of 5 FPS- Stereo sound (you will see two mics on the top)- Supports STM lenses - autofocusing for video- Has built-in radio control flash system (supports Speedlite 600EX-RT)- Better focusing - All 9 focusing points are cross-type, whereas the T3i only had one center cross-type.- You can't miss the ISO button - it is pointed and feels betterThe LCD screen on the T4i also looks much better to me even though when I looked up the specs for both, they are the same. It could be because of the anti-smudge coating touch screen.I highly recommend getting a BG-E8 Canon Grip (The same one works for T2i/T3i/T4). Also invest on a nice lens (the stock 18-55mm is a toy - at least step up to a 50mm 1.8 - you can't go wrong with that and you'll be amazed by the difference) and an external flash (the built-in flash is a joke too). You will be amazed by how much improvement you'll see.I am finally upgrading to a Full Frame camera, but T4i has been a great camera; it's too bad they don't offer articulating and touch screen on those.Canon makes the best camera, lenses, and printers!  Read Less
