Pros

Version iii is superior to the previous version by a mile. Works outstanding. This is a great product and performs exactly as it should.

L zoom lens and use it with a 5d mk iii. Be sure to check compatibility for your lens.

Great images even zoomed 100% on screen. Works well in bright light, and cataloguing hard to see birds. It is necessary to adjust the exposure compensation setting up one or two stops to compensate for light loss.

The original lens. X telephoto extender to my photographic gear as the cheaper approach than purchasing a. Single long lens capability such as a 400-800mm lens. A very inexpensive way to own a 400mm lens.

An ef 400/5. Works awesome with my 70-200 f2. My copy can compete with the 100-400 f/4.

Cons

Big disappointment. Completely worthless. Only fits on canon ef telezoom lenses, not on normal canon eos ef lenses.

I used it on my 7d mkii with the 100400 mkii and it worked only okay no autofocus

Af is fast i have not had any problems with its speed or accuracy

Competitiveness

I now have a 270mm f4 lens and the images are very very nice

The only other test i did was with a canon 135l f2 lens the 5d4 autofocuses through the viewfinder giving a 270mm f4 lens
