    Over the pass few years, i have used lime, top soil, fertilizer, top name brand grass seed and have had absolutely no success in growing healthy grass.

    So i purchased 12lbs for what i thought would be enough to cover apx 160' x 80' size grass area.

    Since we just got over a rough winter and the soil was very hard, i ask a landscaper to thrash the soil first, then out of the 12lbs, i only spread 4lbs in the spring, after the threat of frost was over just to see how well it would work.

    Poor sandy soil and lots of shade under huge oak trees make it tough to grow anything.
