Pros

Performs as a hatchet better than many camp hatchets available. True 90-degree spine is ideal for use with flint stick and ferro-rod type fire starters. The saw isn't the greatest unless you're clearing green growth, but the tip and blade are the best...  Read More

Concern of blade weight was unfounded. Has good heft and the blade has stayed sharp.

The sheath is great, but i did add a large pice of industrial velcro which i use to strap it in a little more securely because of the way i carry it on my pack. Attaches to the main sheath via a small removable sheath that can be worn separately thank...  Read More

Durable titanium blade coating is both attractive and functional. Integrated gutting hook and chisel/pry tip at end of blade for added versatility. Includes a mini-knife micro tool that doubles as a lashable spear point.

Cons

This blade breaks and bends with light chopping. The handle is hard plastic. I wear a medium glove and the handle is too small for me so i have to really grip extra tight to hang on to it. The retaining strap is too short.

Quality control non existent. It's completely useless except for maybe cleaning the grime under your nails.

Quality

Made from quality material, durable and was able to saw a small tree down in a matter of of minutes.

Good quality metal, nice sturdy comfortable handle.

The knife is the one with the full tang (protruding from handle) but happily it is 12, not 18 as described.

I stumbled upon it here on amazon and figured i'd leave a review for it since i'm still surprised by the quality for such a cheap price.

Can't say to much of quality cause i just bought this item a few days ago.

Price

If you are a bushcrafter this defintely isnt your pick.

If you want a 25$ machete this prolly isnt your pick.

Competitiveness

Wrapped hadle with paracord on both for better grip.

I was concerned by the reviewer who said the strap won't snap shut, but thought it might have been user error.

Its a chopper with no weight, and the durability will be about average, the handle is slick plastic when wet.
