Did what i asked it to do changed my dvid output from my graphics card to vga to allow a different screen resolution for tv better than hdmi cable plug and play

The one downside is that the vga cable wont screw in to the adaptor as the screw holes seem to either be too big or perhaps untreated

I originally said it does appear to convert the signal but as others have found out the maximum resolution is optimistic but then i tried a different device and a different monitor and still cant get a decent picture so my problem is probably linux
