Pros

It makes trimming and folding foundation paper piecing much easier. Perfect for cutting small pieces and squaring up half-square triangles. Works great to trim your pieced quilt blocks.

As far as i can tell, the rotating part does not detach from the base; i like this feature. It rotates easily, and is just the right size.

With 17 of practical usable mat, it is good for cutting up to 16. The 8 square rotating mat is a great size for quilters to take to class.

This little mat is a keeper for me. I love these mats, they most definitely self heal!

Cons

The label says the mat is without toxic, 'dead skunk' smell. This mat was advertised as self healing. But there are cut marks all over, so it is not self healing as claimed.
