Don't know if actually outputting 4k though. S/ cable matters superspeed usb 3.
Laptop is an asus vivobook with windows 10, 1909 build. Installed software, plugged in and works fine. Hp m27fq. Worked great after installing the necessary drivers.
Cons
It works but it does flicker about 3-4 times during an 8 hour use. The screen freezes after a while. It's like they made sure it got to 31 days before it self destructed.

The included disk was also a bit useless as it didnt actually install the drivers properly either so i had to go to their website and download them from there

You may have to adjust your computers display settings or resolution but nothing too intense if anything at all

The highest resolution i can select for the second monitor is 1920x1080 but at least im connected and i can extend across both screens 3 if i leave my laptop open
