It fit perfectly with the hdd and provides transfer and power in one affordable package. Using this y-cable it now reads the drive flawlessly. Excellent for a passport to connect to a wii u.

Cons

Too short to go around my monitor to the left side of my laptop. This cable only works when held in at a specific angle. Oh well, more money down the drain.
