The item description say it does not work but it works perfect but only with 2009 and 2010 imac with display port not with newer imacs with thunderbolt port

The folder says it does not support target display mode but is this particular case old imac 2009 this is the cable that you need for target display mode

The important thing is that this was able to connect my vr headset to my laptop what only had a mini displayport as a dedicated gpu out port
