Pros & Cons
Pros
B+. Amp;w filters are always weighty. The new one i purchased is 18 grams and has white lettering.
The coatings they apply to reduce flaring and ghosting are the most effective in my opinion. It fits perfect on the tamron 17-28, 28-75, and 70-180 lenses. Doesn't hinder autofocus like cheaper glass can.
Uv filter cuts uv to remove bluish cast, prevents flares and ghosting, and protects the front lens element. The filter appears to be very well made. Even the tactile sensation upon picking this filter up for the first time is great.
Cons
Same light weight and poor aluminum machining.
The counterfeit filter smudge easily abd hard to clean. There is a hologram on the box, which is the same as what i found on another counterfeit filter bought from another vendor. Get from a reputable source.
