This is very well made. The weight distribution is very even throughout the blanket. The size is perfect to fit on top of the 60 by 80 inch queen mattress. Two pictures show how the blanket (in the included duvet cover) fits on the bed. It should not hang over the edges, as it will add to the weight and will cause the blanket to slide off the bed. The last picture provided shows the ties inside the duvet cover. There are three or four on the bottom and on each side. I have forgotten exactly how many there are, but they hold the blanket in place inside the cover. There is also a chenille-type white cover that I did not photograph, but it seems to also be excellent quality.As for how well it works for sleeping, I do not have a good answer. I have had one night when I slept very well and two other nights that I spent much of the night waking up, mostly because I was too warm. We live in Tampa, Florida, so cooler climates, this may not be a problem. Our AC was set on 67 degrees, but even with that, I found the blanket too hot for comfort. I will try it for awhile longer, but am not holding out much hope for good sleeping. Please look for other reviews about the sleep quality. I have fairly severe psoriatic arthritis and do not sleep well due to pain, so I'm not sure I am the best person to comment on sleep quality. I had high hopes, but am not terribly surprised it did not help me sleep.  Read Less
