Lot of people complain about the bolt head that doesnt allow for low mount however it was designed for an ar rifle with iron back up sights hence the name bushnell arand it says it wont mount low in the description

You might want to call bushnell to get the minimum distance between the scope and the mount or rail

I used leupold rifleman detachable seethru high rings matte 55880 rings hoping it would raise the scope up enough to allow me to leave the iron sights on the gun they didnt
