This one is very sturdy and i got it to replace a cheap ace hardware aluminum vent. Not the cheap,flimsy ones found at the big box stores. High quality. Much better than the * dryer vent from the local hardware stores.

It looks great on the side of my corrugated steel shed. Easily painted to match brick building exteriors. Perfect for outdoors.
Cons
Metal was not galvanized. Seams were not folded and soldered. Wonder if the good reviews are from folks who didn't bother to even look at the flap.

If you live in a windy area the air outside will pull the thin flapper door open and shut when the vent fan is not running

This produces a constant dinging or ticking sound that will drive you nuts

I did not trim it off just left the excess in the interior wall above dryer

I did have to slightly alter the pipe so the foil exhaust tube would slip over it crimped it a bit and worked slowly through the existing hole through block wall
