I had previously been using an hdmi cable that was not up to that spec and as such was experiencing less than stellar picture quality as well as numerous issues attempting to get hdr to work at all

Its ridiculous that one has to research so much in order to find reliable information regarding resolutions refresh rates and hdr availability and that all of those things can hinge entirely on a cable when every component is up to spec but the cable isnt or each of your components could theoretically be mismatched from a specification standpoint

Its an absolute nightmare trying to figure out how to reasonably accomplish 4k60hz with hdr but i can rest assured that the cable will not be the root of the issue because this one meets all of the specifications it needs in order to deliver that signal

I am guessing this is due to the ethernet support which was not needed in my application

Went to two stores computer big box and tv just like everything else these days a hdmi cable is not so simple anymore
