I live this brand and it’s product
I will sometimes heat up my coconut milk but other than that this press has really upgraded my quality of life in the morning
And this issues are definitely addressed with this product
Good quality product i personally dont like all the steps to make the coffee
Price
This is very well made great materials easy to clean easy to use and great price
It still works but is a little ridiculous given the price
Packaging/appearance
A second filter inside the spout really helps keep grounds out of the coffee
Competitiveness
No fault on the part of bodum
Hopefully they’ll fix that issue because it’s otherwise an amazing product
The screen is way more efficient than our bodum and the insulation keeps the coffee hot way way longer
In june 2018 i ordered the 32 oz direct from planetary designs

It was advertised as the brüstop model with the separate screen but it appears i received what is called the lps press screen model where the screen is permanently attached to the bottom of the plunger and its the top and plunger cap that unscrew

I did have trouble with excessive grounds ending up in my coffee and i see now the pd website advertises a brüstop conversion kit – 32 oz

It seems you would unscrew the cap and lid and use the new stem and screen assembly

Another topic to rate should be how well it holds temperature which would be another 5 star

Make sure to keep the nut at the bottom of the plunger tightened over time it becomes loose and falls off where it attaches to the screenflange
