I read some reviews that stated the hardware attached was too heavy but i dont find this at all

Various parts can break one was not trimmed to a consistent width so broke in the narrower part of the lead one had the small clip end clip notch broke so just used leash without it then leash developed tear spot in leather lead so no longer safe

When a dog doesnt want to walk where you want them to go and they resistcannot be coaxed the dog may bite on the leash for example when they do not want to go back into their kennel

I love the concept of this leash and it has worked well for us overall i bought 2 of themone for a 5560 lb am staff and the other for a 80 lb am staff mix both leashes have a thinweak spot not sure if this happened when i tethered them to a fence during agility runs or if the leashes came to us with this flaw
