Pros

Beautiful appearance (beige). I like the saddle a lot but my experience with has been very different than other reviewers' seem to be. I highly recommend this, especially the slate color since it was way cheaper for some reason.

The c17 is a stiffer saddle than the leather counterparts. I made a slit in the leather to approximate the cutout in my c17. It's still not as comfy as my leather flyer, but it's still comfortable for what it is.

It's a 20-minute fix that will save you $15-$20 at some juncture.

This saddle looks great and i have already received many compliments from fellow cyclists. In addition to thicker bar tape and 25mm tires, this saddle completes the comfortable edges that will let me ride a fast bike well past the century mark.

For max comfort (touring) the sprung b17 is probably the best saddle ever manufactured. The rails are long enough on the c17, as usually brooks saddles (b17) have the short rails that can make correct fit difficult for me. The bolt is a t-20 torx one.... Read More

After googling it seems to be a recurring problem with these. Instead of your pants sliding, your pants stick, and then your body moves and you are no longer comfortable due to your misaligned pants.

Remove the bolt coat the threads with loctite blue thread locker 242removable and replace

These can loosen and be easily lost

After only a few days the slate color had started to turn to a bit more of a natural canvas look

Out of the box the 34natural34 color was essentially white and in my view not aesthetically pleasing

Beside its look great i have a lot of comments when another cyclist saw it

Competitiveness

I purchased it and immediately cursed it for being so uncomfortable compared to my b17 flyer

I have tried other seats i resisted the brooks fandom and peer pressure to go with brooks

You cant beat a brooks seat for pure esthetics
