The back padding is well ventilated and the padding feels good. The back ventilation functions wonderfully, keeping my back cool.

It is a commuter bag and brooks has done a very nice job with this product

Packaging/appearance
The straps are sturdy and the pack appears waterproof
It’s got enough for most mishaps but i doubt a laptop could survive a fall where your body rolled onto the bag
One last complaint there’s a large elastic area on the face of the pack that picks up a white ish looking dust
Competitiveness
It manages to be completely waterproof without the rolltop that competitors use and which i always find inconvenient
But longer distances and frequent travel then there are other options on the market

Anything you place in the outer compartment “photographs” through and looks bulky and weird

Unfortunately there are a few negatives the shoulder straps aren’t as comfortable over the shoulder closer to the neck for me

Also the padding on the back is not thick enough in my opinion so there is some heat and sweat

My guess is that it’s designed to have a lot of wind from biking but it’s just not enough
