Pros

For those who wear padded cycling gear, this saddle quickly becomes very comfortable. The slight increase in weight needs to be balanced with the long term performance and comfort. No * bone discomfort at all.

I'm not a fancy spandex rider but like to go on 10-50 mile rides in the warm weather and this is the seat for me. Holding up well after 10,000km. When i need another i will not hesitate.

Selle, trek, etc. Struggled to find a nice position on their bikes for the last 10 years. This was a no-brainer.

The leather molds to your sit bones and gives a custom fit that is perfect for your body. Once the leather gets some miles on it, the longitudinal suspension really starts to loosen up and the saddle is a dream to ride.

Cons

The rail is too thick to fit on my easton seat post. The seating is as hard as a rock and twice as uncomfortable. It is the most uncomfortable thing that i have ever owned.

Tensioning screw broke on 10/7/2023. The tension bolt is stripped. Only good thing is amazon returns for a no hassle refund. We kindly ask you to refer to amazon and open a warranty claim in this case.

Happy so far and the quality black leather should last a long time

Packaging/appearance

On a side note the box and packaging are top notch and fitting for such a classic saddle

I’ve tried a ton of them and this is the only one that was comfortable right out of the box

I had a little discomfort from my left portion of the buttock ischial tuberositydue to pressure on the saddle

Competitiveness

Really nice upgrade for a hardtail for sure

I already have another b17 on my road bike so this was a nobrainer

After about 2months of serious riding the leather forms to you…no plasticfoam to wear out
