Pros
Added this exhaust fan to circulate the air. It really clears the bathroom from steam quickly.
conventional 2x4 framing with 1/2” drywall both sides. Used a compass to mark a 6” cutout on both sides referenced to pilot hole. Works exceptionally well, and was easy to install.
Nutone 57w variable speed wall control for ventilation fans, dial knob control, 3 amp. Installation through a thermostat.
This fan has an awesome draw to it. I wish it was just a little bit stronger.
Cons
This fan is discreet and moves a good amount of air but it is loud! The product description is incorrect. It can't be installed in walls thicker than 6 inches. Info on site needs to better explain difference between 512 room to room fan & 512m fan... Read More

Quality
With the leviton control i can use the full range of the switch and have much better control over the fan speed
Came fast in the mailvery good product
Noticed a tremendous temp difference in the adjoining kitchen the kitchen would never get above 71 even with the stove at 85 degrees
I wired it hot to an outlet wired to come on with the bathroom light
Competitiveness
I used a dremmel tool with a zip tool drywall bit to minimize drywall dust
I have since added a 110v inline thermostat with remote purchased on amazon to turn the fan on 68f and off at 71f
However i should have purchased a fan with a higher cfm

At the 3 oclock position the fan was turning very slowly

Unfortunately temperature in the closet was rising so i added an hvac vent
