    She makes a good argument that american children are often left coddled in a way that leaves their parent and other caregivers exhausted, while not giving american children the guidance they need or cultivating the self-discipline that would aid american children as they enter society as adults.

    The author bashes american moms/kids then bashes herself and her kids to not look like the bad guy when she believes the french are the parenting superhero's.
