The simplicity speaks for itself, and some of us need and want just such a simple solution; but, the thankfully ample cord is a) installed so that the switch is only a foot below the sconce with fifteen feet of cord below it; and b) the switch toggle faces the wall as it hangs.

I got both a bulb as pictured and another bulb that has a cut glass pattern in it.
