Bought this after buying an air fryer. On / off is done by simply unfolding / refolding spike. Battery is saved, as it is switched off as soon as spike is folded back. Very accurate, folding probe is very convenient.

Good quality. Excellent item. Quick delivery. Great tool. Great value. Great little gadget.

It is a pity that such an item with all its plastic casing and elements is now only good for the bin. Structure and material is cheap. Cheap brittle plastic.

Worked ok for a year. Broken by december 2020. Just keeps showing an error message and will not clear.

Not instant-read as stated, takes a good 10-15 secs to register a more precise reading. Flimsy and slow to read.

Auto on' is just a micro switch the probe rests on. Tried new batteries no dice. Will not switch on at all.
