We tried a couple of other styles such as ones that stuik to the dash with adhesive or suction cups and they wouldnt stay in place

One small warning if you put it on your vent the weight of your phone might pull the vent down which obviously makes it hard to see the phone

Its function has become somewhat limited due to it breaking in a couple spots

From what i gather you are supposed to squeeze your phone tightly in between the arms on the sides of the product every time you use it and release the arms by pressing that little button when you need to remove the phone
