I got this blender on sale when it was £50. Have to say so far it blended everything I tried, smoothies from frozen fruits and berries - check, ice cubes - check, making hot soup - check, chopping vegetables - check. Blender is quite silent with glass jug, have plastic cap with rubber sides.Easy to remove blade for easy cleaning.Just one thing, my girlfriend have troubles removing jug, it does need a bit of power. This is a large capacity kitchen blender by Bosch, which will pulse, blitz, blend and crush pretty much any typical foodstuffs that you might want to throw inside it. The unit comes in a hefty sized package, which is well contained and comfortably survived the journey in the post - with not a single ding or scratch to be seen on the casing. It is chrome and black coloured, which will fit nicely with other Bosch devices in the same range, but would also sit well next to other similar products in competitor's brands - this won't stand out or look odd. I've tried this making soups, smoothies and crushing ice for cocktail - all tasks that the blender happily took in its stride, with no sign of the motor finding any difficulty there. The product description calls this a quiet blender and to be fair it isn't what I would call noisy, but all the same, it's a blender - there's no such thing as a silent one, so don't expect to be able to use this in the middle of the night unheard. It's not a stealth blender! The size and curvature of the main jug and blades makes assembly/disassembly quite straightforward and cleaning is at least as easy as other brand devices that I've tried out in the past. All in all, a good complementary tool to my kitchen arsenal.  Read Less
