Pros & Cons

Pros

Good little drill driver for fairly light domestic use. Used mainly as screwdriver whilst fitting loads of floorboards and loft panels. Batteries last ages and charge quickly, the chuck is just <so> easy after an old b&d.

Excellent for home jobs, lightweight, and nippy for shelves and cabinets. Lacking a little in power but satisfactory for all but the heaviest of jobs.

Some settings flash alarmingly but it's hardly an issue unless ther is volatile valour around. Instruction booklet is clear. Good tool for small to medium jobs.

Its brilliant. Good value at the price. Very pleased - recommended. Would recommend. Overall pleased with purchase.

Cons

Slide switch from 1 to 2 speeds is stiff and doesn't always engage. Hand tightening of chuck is not always adequate either. In use it is okay for small jobs but no use when * into tough materials.

At some settings the brushes flash alarmingly but its hardly an issue unless ther is volatile valour around in which case a very much more expensive brushless model would be safer

As with all bosch tools with cases its handy if you want to carry the tool and some extra accessories around but all it does most of the time is take up room so my cases go in the loft

Not for heavy duty jobs you need a more powerful hammer drill for heavy drilling

Thank you to all those who answered my question about the unit size including bosch themselves

The quoted size was the carry box not the unit
