The insulated carafe keeps it evenly warm for a few hours. The stainless steal pot leaves coffee hot for decent amount of time. My only complaint is, it does not keep coffee hot!
Carafe is not hard to clean because the mouth is wide enough to insert a dishcloth. It is simple to use and brews quickly. Although the brewing process is a bit loud, it is fast.
This machine makes a huge difference in taste. Performs as i had hoped, makes great tasting coffee. Medium-fine grind works well.

After a few minutes, the coffee is no longer hot and has to be zapped for 20-30 seconds in the microwave. You can’t pour water into the top without it spilling all over the place because the carafe doesn't have a proper pour spout. You have to restart... Read More
It’s very cheaply built and designed. Works great for a year then the lid breaks. They have the nerve tio charge $10 shipping on a coffee pot lid.
I like it when it works, but i won't accept its unreliability. This design flaw is really all you need to know. They know it’s a faulty design and won’t stand behind their product.

Price
Especially since the price was lt100 until americas test kitchen recommended it
I took off one star because the price seems ridiculous for such a basic pot
It’s a bummer cause this was more expensive too
Maybe its just me but when i pay near 200 for a device i do expect the materials to last longer than 2 years

We bought this with the metal carafe and i don’t know what made the difference but the coffee tastes about the same as a mr coffee maker
