It opens very fast, which is nice, but could actually hurt someone if you opened it at the wrong time.

One thing that sort of bothers me is that there is no way to open it besides the button.

So, if you had it open and wanted to close it for a brief time, in order for the umbrella to re-open you have to fully close the umbrella (push the stalk into the compressed setting) so that you can reopen with the button.
