Overall this speaker has a lot of features for the price, and I'd say is well worth the money!! Considering its a good sounding 10w, waterproof Bluetooth speaker with a large battery, NFC, and probably drop-proof to some degree, this is a good price.Utility: It's definitely out-door proof, considering it is mildly waterproof, and has that really thick rubber case. I mean thick, this thing feels like it could take quite the fall and be okay, but I'm not going to be deliberately testing this out. The only parts with out much coverage are the ends. The case is very soft to the touch and doesn't seem to get dirty too, or attract any bit of dust unlike a different rubber-encased speaker I have. Also NFC does add a bit of ease to syncing the speaker with your device. Battery life seems good so far. I've been using it about a week and put probably about 7hrs on it, at around about 3/4 volume. It's worth noting that it doesn't arrive fully charged, the battery lasts much longer than that.Sound: Coming from a mild audiophile's perspective, the sound quality is actually pretty darn good for what it is. Don't get me wrong, it doesn't blow my mind, but it's still quite good considering the $30 price tag and the bulky case. Speaking of which, if you look closely at the main speakers, they're partially obstructed by the case. This does ever so slightly affect the sound quality, its sort of like when you have a speaker facing a wall, versus facing towards you. There's a slight muffle. If you're really picky about having a lot of treble, you might not like this. Personally, it's not enough of an issue to bother me, plus I like bass heavy music anyway. The speaker does great in this aspect, with its two passive radiators. If you're using it inside, you can actually remove the case with a bit of effort. I've done this for comparative reasons, and yes it does help to some degree however it is not so drop-proof like normal. I think that's a perfectly fair trade off. Volume-wise it can get pretty loud, especially in small rooms but it does have a small bit of distortion at max volume.Side note: The Bluetooth connect noises are a little odd, especially when it connects to your phone. It sounds like it says connect me when it has just paired, doesn't completely make sense but whatever. That's not important though. ALSO this version does not have battery back-up capabilities like the older version (shown in video in the most helpful review).I did receive this product at a discounted price in exchange for a review. I strongly rely on reviews from other shoppers and strive to be honest and critical of a product, reviewing it as if I paid full price.
