These straps have a heavy duty clasp. The buckle seems to be sturdy. Compared to some much older samsonite straps, this quality has a thinner fabric belt and the plastic closure seems lighter.
The orange straps scream to “hey, you, here we are, come get us! It also makes it easy to * my bags off the conveyor.
Cons
The buckle on these is almost impossible to open. The straps are hard toadjust and one strap continues to loosen and then drags.

Flew to united kingdom but plane fault meant they were taken off the plane several times before we even left our home airport finally change over at jfk on the way out and also change over at salt lake city on the trip back
