Although these racks could have held at least 4 surfboards 2 on each sidethe only complaint i have which seems to be a problem with all soft racks no matter the manufactureris when it rains the water saturates the nylon straps and drips from the outside of the vehicle to the inside of the vehicle at the 4 points where the nylon straps loop into the vehicle right about where the windows are

So the water drips onto the window facing shoulder of each rider in the front and the back

We looked into paying for professional installed racks

The way that it is designed we can leave the rack on the car while we are in the ocean because we can close the doors leaving a crucial part of the straps locked inside of the car making it not possible to steal it without having to cut the straps rendering it a real problem to reuse it

But on the way back we put the bygods to it and didnt hear a sound the entire 3 hour trip

Here is the deal with soft racks they do not hold your boards like firm racks they always wiggle all over they scratch up the car and they cause rain to leak in the windows

If you have a vw bug it will work because there is a 2ft space between each strap
