Pros

This stuff is awesome! If you can find it locally in the resturaunt supply store you can save a few dollars. Very reasonably priced.

After applying the oil, leave the utensils and boards outside for a day or two, then wash them in warm soapy water. Instead of re-applying the block oil once a month or so, i apply it once every two weeks.

This oil goes on easily, has almost no smell (other than lemons), and wipes off cleanly after 10 minutes. Good product, not greasy. No ant or bug infestations due to the oil.

My only concern is longevity. It lasts a good bit longer than i expected. I trust this oil and know i'm treating my block with the care it needs to last for years.

It's fantastic for preserving and hydrating vintage wooden bows and arrow shafts. Used it on my wooden spoons to keep them from drying out. Great for oiling the bore of a recorder or native-style flute.

Cons

However the ants go crazy for this stuff.
