Yes this is tape advertised as insulating tape often used for electrical purposes, but I use this to cover lightswitches. A few items like phone chargers are plugged into sockets controlled by wall switches . A few are triple switches and when someone mistakenly or unknowingly turns the switch to the off position, someone awakens to a phone or appliance with a dead battery. So, to solve the issue, I cut two pieces of tape, turn the switch to the On position, cover the bottom of the switch so it’s difficult to move and then use the other piece of tape to cover the switch. The switch and switch plates are white, so the white tape is virtually unnoticeable until someone touches it. This acts as a reminder, causes them to stop and think because someone would need to remove the tape to turn the switch to the off position.I have also used this for rocker switches, by completely covering the rocker. The third use for this tape is to cover an air cleaner with a bright light that disturbs some at night. I’ve done this for years and the tape adheres very well, in fact until I remove it.  Read Less
