The thing is pretty flimsy and theres no way it holds 500 lbs. Instructions are horribly written and are of little help. Black & decker workmate is not in the same class.

Flipping to vertical clamping requires removing the centre board. Plastic chain that keeps handles in sync slips so it doesn't clamp evenly. Degree clamp function is very hard to activate and doesn't work very well.

This is my 3rd one over many years i just love this product
I am vary pleased with this work table as its vary strong and stable great for what i am using it for on my projects 😀
Sadly it pales in comparison to the 30 year old version it is mean to replace in terms of build and material quality
One thing they could change maybe is coat the boards with epoxy so i cant wipe them with the solvents i use without removing the markings

You cannot have just a table top like that without a gap between 2 of the 3 panels

For example it does not indicate to do the same on both sides so its a bit of a guess
